Tasting Note
Intense ruby color with purple edges, complex berry aromas, hints of pepper, spices, violets and dried plums, with tobacco, chocolate and vanilla notes. Good attack in the mouth, smooth, round, well balanced structure with ripe tannins. Fruit notes combine with oak to create a long-lasting, evolving explosion of flavours typical of exceptionally fine wines.
Excellent accompaniment to game dishes, braised meats and stews.
Aging: 18 months in new oak barrels (50% French, 50% American).
